Verify that you own your site
We don't check a site until you show us it's yours. Pick any one of the three ways below. Your code is in the email we send you and on your manage page. It looks like checkoutalarm-verify=3f9a….
01 / three ways
a
DNS record
Best for your own domain.
In your domain's DNS settings, add a TXT record:
- Name (host):
_checkoutalarm(the full name is_checkoutalarm.yourdomain.com) - Value: your whole code, including
checkoutalarm-verify=
DNS changes can take a few minutes to show up. Then press Verify on your manage page.
b
Meta tag
Works on Lovable, Vercel and other hosted addresses.
Add this tag inside the <head> of your home page (the page at https://yoursite/):
<meta name="checkoutalarm-verification" content="checkoutalarm-verify=…">
Publish the change, then press Verify.
c
Small file
Works anywhere you can add a file.
Make a text file whose first line is your code, and serve it at:
https://yoursite/.well-known/checkoutalarm-verification.txt
A file in a public/.well-known/ folder often ends up there, but not always. Some deploys skip folders whose names start with a dot.
Before you press Verify, open that address in your browser. You should see your code. If you get a “not found” page, use the meta tag (b) or the DNS record (a) instead.
02 / after that
- We use https and follow redirects only on the same site.
- We check the proof again each day. If it's gone two days in a row, we pause checks and email you. Nothing is deleted.
- Put the proof back and we start checks again on our own within a day, and email you. Or press Verify to start right away.
- Our requests say CheckoutAlarmBot/1.0
